-Serena Williams wins her 4th Austrailian Open title in under one hour by destroying Dinara Safina. Serena now has 10 grand slam victories. She has to be considered one of the best ever.

-Rafael Nadal beats Roger Federer in five sets for his first Aussie Open title. The magnitude of this match could be seen on Federer's face after the match - the emotion pouring out, tears streaming down his face...Federer could hold nothing back. He was classy in defeat, giving praise to Nadal, but no one understands more than Roger that this is definitely a "changing of the guard" atop the men's tennis world.
- UFC 94 did not dissapoint. Georges St. Pierre just dismantled BJ Penn in four rounds. I don't
even remember BJ landing one single punch. As St. Pierre was climbing into the octagon, all I could think was "wow..he looks like Jean Claude Van Damm from 'Bloodsport'." The majority of the fight was spent with BJ laying on his back and GSP methodically beating his face in. It wasn't a savage beating or a one-punch show, instead GSP paced himself and landed a few big punches here, a couple tough elbows there, and just dominated the crap out of Penn.
-Super Bowl XLIII was the perfect cap to the weekend. What a game...everyone who knows me knows I've always been a huge Steelers fan, so I was obviously pleased with the outcome. I'm biased, I know, so I'm not gonna say alot except that Ben Roethlisberger cemented his place alongside Peyton Manning and Tom Brady as one of the top three quarterbacks in the league. Kudos to Kurt Warner and the Cardinals for one helluva fourth quarter, but the Steelers just proved to be too much.
